Thomas Stocks (b. 1 Nov 1882), son of William Henry Stocks and Eliza Hobbs, married Ethel Sawyer (b. 25 Jan 1881), daughter of William Arthur Sawyer and Ruth Swift, on 27 Jul 1903 in the parish of Sculcoates, St Mary - this will have been in the 18th century parish church, Air Street, demolished in stages between 1916 and 1960s, not St Mary's Church, Sculcoates Lane, 1915-16. Thomas Stocks residence was at the time of the marriage, was in Nicholson Street and Ethel was listed as living in Exchange Street, which crosses Nicholson Street.
Thomas and Ethel had eight children:

The family's address shown on Ethel May's baptism record is 8 Carrisbrooke Villas, Newland Avenue.
In 1911, living at 4 Ferndale Avenue, Exmouth St Hull, Sculcoates, were Thomas Stocks (29) Butcher journey man - an employee - Ethel Stocks (30), Elsie Stocks (7), [Ethel] May Stocks (6), Frederick Stocks (3) and Leonard Stocks (0).
In 1921, Thomas Stocks (38) Slaughterman, for Hull Wholesale Meat Company, was living at 26, Exmouth Street, Newland Avenue, Sculcoates with Ethel Stocks (40), Elsie Stocks (17), Ethel May Stocks (16) who was working for a Mrs Gardiner at 30 Exmouth Street (presumably domestic duties); Beatrice Stocks (14), Frederick Stocks (13), Leonard Stocks (10), Henry Stocks (6) and Ernest Stocks (4).
In 1939, at 42 Falmouth Street, Kingston Upon Hull, Yorkshire, there were Thomas Stocks, Slaughterman Butcher Stall Holder; Ethel Stocks; Elsie Stocks, Dressmaker; Ethel May Stocks, Domestic Worker Seeking Work; Frederick Stocks, Poulterer, and Ernest Stocks, Poulterer's Assistant (Unemployed), as well as a (currently) closed record which is doubtless Ethel May's son, Dennis Redmore Stocks.
Ethel Stocks (née Sawyer) died in Hull, in 1959, aged 77.
Thomas Stocks died in Hull, Yorkshire in 1961.
